It boosts the schools lists in sports and attracts a whole different audience to consider enrolling into ois, almost all high achieving intermediate schools have a motorsports team or something similar. And i'm more than certain there are enough people at this school that ride a dirtbike of some sort or even do motocross to form a team to compete in competitions in the otago region.. It brings recognition to our school in a new range of people, and it gives students who don't necessarily like rugby, football, basketball, a chance to compete and give ois a name. And it could be as simple as meet up at a spot and have an ois outdoor tent to rest at while we compete.
